Imarat Nirman Sramik Union Bangladesh
A rally organised by Imarat Nirman Sramik Union Bangladesh (INSUB) was held in front of Jatiya Press Club on Saturday. In the rally the speakers demanded adequate allocation in the national budget for housing facilities for Nirman Sramik (Construction Employees). They also demanded for introducing rationing system for the employees of the organisation. The rally was addressed, among others, by General Secretary of Bangladesh Trade Union Dr Wazedul Islam Khan, General Secretary of INSUB Md. Abdur Razzak, its Organizing Secretary Ali Hossain and Finance Secretary Rezaur Islam Reza. Executive member of the organisation Sultan Ahmed presided over the programme.
Awami Juba League
A discussion organised by Awami Juba League (AJL) was held at Shilpakala Academy in the city’s Segunbagicha on Friday marking the 35th Homecoming Day of Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim was present as the chief guest. While speaking Nasim said that Jatiya Party (JP) legislator Selim Osman disgraced the dignity of all the lawmakers by assaulting Shyamal Kanti Bhakta, Headmaster of Piyar Sattar Latif High School in Narayanganj. The programme was also addressed, among others, by Attorney General Mahbubey Alam, Deputy Attorney General Motahar Hossain, AJL General Secretary Harunur Rashid and its Presidium Member Ataur Rahman Ata. AJL Chairman Omar Faruque Chowdhury presided over the function.
