Leaders of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) demanded for immediate announcement of the 9th wage board for enhancement of salary scale for journalists and employees of the media industry by the government. The leaders made the call from an executive committee meeting of journalists’ body on Friday in Mymensingh, said a press release on Sunday.The media staff are passing their days with dire socio-economic condition because of the hike in the commodity price after the new pay scale of government service holders, they said.
Ganotantrik Bam Morcha
A discussion jointly organised by Ganotantrik Bam Morcha, Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) and Bangladesher Samajtantrik Dal (BSD) was held in Moitree Auditorium of Muktibhaban in the city’s Purana Palton. In the programme held recently, the speakers demanded United Nation’s intervention to solve Rohingya crises. They also demanded implementation of Kofi Annan Commission in this connection. The function was addressed, among others, by Coordinator of Ganotantrik Bam Morcha and General Secretary of the Revolutionary Workers Party Comrade Saiful Haque, President of CPB Comrade Mujahidul Islam Selim, its General Secretary Comrade Shah Alam, Comrade Shubhrangshu Chakravarti of BSD (Marxist) and Central Committee Member of BSD Comrade Bazlur Rashid Firoz .
