Bangladesh Manobadhikar Andolon
A rally organised by Bangladesh Manobadhikar Andolon was held in front of the Jatiya Press Club in the city on Tuesday. In the programme the speakers bitterly criticized killing of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar. They urged Myanmar government to bring back Rohingya refugees as early as possible. The rally was addressed, among others, by Chairman of NAP-Bhasani MA Bhasani, President of Joy Bangla Mancha Mufti Masum Billah, Chairman of Bangladesh Republican Party KM Abu Hanif Hriday, President of Bangladesh Janata Front Abu Ahad Al Mamun, President of Bangladesh Ganotantrik Mukti Andolon Ashraf Ali Hawlader, Vice-President of Bangladesh Manobadhikar Andolon Prof Noman Chowdhury and President of Krishak Proja Party Sirajul Haque Siraj. President of the organisation Khawja Mahib Ullah Shantipuri presided over the event.  
Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal
A relief distribution programme organised by Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) was held at the Kutipalang Rohingya refugee camp. In the programme Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu was present as the chief guest. While speaking Inu said talks between Bangladesh and Myanmar could be held as proposed by Myanmar’s State Councilor Aung Saan Suu Kyi. But the repatriation process had to be supervised by Bangladesh, Myanmar and the United Nations which would ensure the safe return, citizenship, rehabilitation, resettlement, compensation for those who suffered and trial of those involved in crimes against humanity. The minister was talking to journalists at the Kutipalang Rohingya refugee camp after returning from a relief distribution programme organized by JSD in Dhangkhali refugee camp. Referring to the proposal of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) for national unity the minister said that at a time when the entire world was with Sheikh Hasina to help the Rohingya refugees, Razakar-BNP-Jamaat group was busy criticizing her. Inu thanked the local people and administration as well as the media for portraying the true picture of the Rohingya plight.The function was also addressed, among others, by General Secretary of JSD, Shirin Akhter, MP. Other party leaders including Rabiul Alam, Dr Anwar Hossain and Obaidur Rahman Chunnu were also present on the occasion.
