Communist Party of Bangladesh
A mass signature campaign organised jointly by Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB), Bangladesher Samajtantrik Dal (BSD) and Ganotantrik Bam Morcha was held in front of the Jatiya Press Club on Monday with a call to stop killing of Rohyngya Muslims in Myanmar. CPB President Comrade Mujahidul Islam Selim inaugurated the programme. While speaking Selim said genoicide in Myanmar will remain a notorious incident in the world history. He demanded to ensure food , housing facilities, medical aid and clothes for the Rohyngy refugees. Selim also demanded implementation of Kafi Aanan Commission under the supervision of United Nations. He called upon the Myanmar Governement to bring back Rohyngya refugees immediately for humanitarian ground. The function was addressed, among others, by Acting General Secretary of the Revolutionary Workers Party Comrade Akbar Khan, General Secretary of BSD Comrade Khalequzzaman. Central leader of BSD (Marxist) Comrade Shuvrangshu Chakravarty, Chief Coordinator of Ganosanghati Andolon Comrade Zonaed Saki, General Secretary of United Communist League Comrade Mosharaf Hossain Nanu, General Secretary of Ganotantrik Biplabi Party Comrade Moshrefa Mishu and Convenor of Bangladesher Samajtantrik Andolon Hamidul Haque also attended the event, among others.
Garments Sramik Trade Union Kendra
A rally organised by Garments Sramik Trade Union Kendra was held in front of BGMEA Bhaban in the city on Monday. In the rally the leaders of the organisation demanded payment of outstanding salaries of employees of Tex Tek Company Limited without any delay. Leaders and activists of the organisation bitterly criticized the efforts to snatch banner of the organisation allegedly by BGMEA leaders. The speakers warned to forge greater movement if their demand is not met immediately. The leaders called upon the owner of the company to bring back the situation normal meeting the demands of the organisation. The programme was addressed, among others, by General Secretary of the organisation and labour leader Joly Talukder, its Vice-President Ziaul Kabir Khokon, central leaders Sadequr Rahman Shamim, Abul Hossain. Executive President of the organisation Kazi Ruhul Amin presided over the event.
