Sangram Parishad
A rally organised by Bangladesh Adibashi Chhatra Sangram Parishad was held at the foot of Raju Bhaskarjo of Dhaka University on Monday. In the rally the speakers bitterly criticized the inhumane attack on indigenous people in different areas of the country. The rally was addressed, among others, by Convenor of Oikyanap and veteran politician Pankaj Bhattacharya, President of Bangladesh Chhatra Union Laki Aktar, Representative of Bangladesh Adibashi Forum Andu Solomar, Representative of Pahari Chhatra Parishad Central Committee Ananta Bikash Dhamai and Representative of Bangladesh Garo Chhatra Sangathan Chapal Baji. President of the organisation Sumon Marma presided over the programme. After the rally a procession paraded different streets on the campus.
Textile Garments Workers Federation
A rally organised by Textile Garments Workers Federation was held in front of Jatiya Press Club in the city on Sunday. In the rally the speakers demanded adequate wages in which they (Garments workers) can maintain their livelihood easily. They also demanded to ensure the rights of trade union. The speakers called upon to stop retrenchment of garment employees, otherwise, they will build up greater movement to meet their demands. The progrmamme was addressed, among others, by General Secretary of the organisation Tapon Saha, its Executive President Mala Rani Das.
