Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Bandhu Dal
A rally organised by Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Bandhu Dal was held in front of the Jatiya Press Club on Friday demanding election time government for free and fair election. In the rally BNP Vice-Chairman Abdullah Al Noman was present as the chief guest. While speaking Noman said no conspiracy will resist BNP. He said BNP has the capability and preparation whatever is needed to take part in the election. Noman said BNP will work for the people for ensuring rights of franchise. The rally was addressed, among others, by BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia’s Advisory Committee Member Advocate Toimur Alam Khondkar, Presidium Member of Jatiya Party (Kazi Zafor) Ahsan Habib Linkon, Chief Coordinator of Samonnaya Parishad, an associate organisation of BNP Lion Miah Mohammad Anwar, General Secretary of Jatiyatabadi Karmajibi Dal Altaf Hossain Sarder, President of Desh Banchao Manush Banchao Andolan KM Raqibul Islam Ripon, General Secretary of the organisation Mahamud Ahmed Zia and its Vice-President Khabir Uddin Reza. Founder President of the organisation Sharif Mostofazaman Litu presided over the event.
Save Life Foundation
A discussion on the occasion of World Kidney Day-2017 organised jointly by Save Life Foundation and Dhaka University was held on the 9th instant at Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall of Dhaka University (DU). In the programme the speakers said that unhealthy lifestyle leads to increase kidney ailment as Bangladesh is hugely suffering from the disease due to rapidly changed food habit and way of life. The people are being habituated with fast food items and advancement technology are shirking space of physical movement resulting in many non-communicable diseases including diabetes, heart diseases and high blood pressure. The function was addressed, among others, by Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique, National Prof Dr Shahla Khatun, Chairman of Pharmacy Department of Dhaka University Prof Shitesh Chandra Bachar, Head of Kidney Department of Dhaka Medical College Prof Nizam Uddin and Kidney Specialist Dr Sohely Ahmed Sweety.
