University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh  
University of Malaya, Malaysia and University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) signed a memorandum of understanding to pursue areas of academic and administrative interest. Prof Imran Rahman, Vice Chancellor, University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB), and Professor Mohd. Amin Jalaluddin, PhD, Vice Chancellor, University of Malaya, Malaysia signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between their respective institutes on January 30. The MoU aims to create opportunities for student, academic and administrative staff exchanges; joint research activities; exchanging publications, reports and other academic materials and information; and sharing other activities and programs in areas of mutual interest. The point of contact for all activities under the purview of this MoU is Dr. ShamsadMortuza, Professor and Head of the Department of English and Humanities, ULAB, says a press release.
Flying Instructors’ School
The certificate award ceremony of No 52 Flying Instructors’ Course of Bangladesh Air Force was held at Flying Instructors’ School, BAF Bogra yesterday . Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Abu Esrar, BBP, ndc, acsc attended the ceremony as the Chief Guest and distributed certificates among the graduating officers. Mentionable that 10 officers of Bangladesh Air Force and 01 officer of Bangladesh Army participated in the prestigious Flying Instructors’ Course. In his speech the Chief Guest mentioned that now these officers are the part of a respectable group of qualified flying Instructors who will train the ab-initio students into defender of the sky of our beloved motherland. Squadron Leader Md Ehteshamul Haque GD (P) was awarded with the prestigious ‘Mofiz Trophy’ for his best all-round performance. Officer Commanding of Flying Instructors’ School (FIS) Wing Commander Md Mezbah Uddin, psc presented a brief resume on the course conducted by the school. Senior officers from Air Headquarters & different Bases including Airmen, senior officers of Bangladesh Army and Bangladesh Navy were also present on the occasion, says an ISPR release.

IPDC Finance Limited, the first financial institution of Bangladesh established in 1981, has recently announced the winners of their Valentine’s Day offer. A three- month long workshop on “Journalism and Career” organised by Jahangirnagar University Journalist Association (JUJA) concluded through handing over certificate to the participators yesterday. The ending session was held at ZahirRaihan auditorium on campus while university Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr Abul Hossain attended the programme as Chief Guest. Dr. AbulHossain said, ‘This type of workshop will make the newly young Journalist at the university level more experienced. This experience will help them for making authentic news’. JUJA will continue to organise such type of workshop and training programme in every year, he expects.
