Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal
A view exchange meeting with the leaders and activists of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) was held on the 11th instant at the Kushtia Circuit House. Information Minister and also President of JSD Hasanul Haq Inu was present at the programme as the chief guest. While speaking Inu said BNP would not be happy “until they see a ‘razakar’ at the helm of the Election Commission to conduct the next general elections.”His comment came after BNP expressed its reservation to accept the newly formed Election Commission, especially the Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda, formed through a process and by President Abdul Hamid. The minister said BNP has been trying to fish in troubled waters and its reservation about the new EC was merely an excuse. In fact, the party has an ulterior motive to destabilize the country. He also touched upon journalist Sagar-Runi murder case and said despite delay, the killers of the two TV journalists would be brought to book and their punishment would be ensured. In a separate meeting with the freedom fighters, Inu said, the government has taken a fresh initiative to scrutinize freedom fighters list and find the genuine ones, who should be treated as the greatest souls of the nation. He also sought cooperation from all to do the job objectively. The event was attended, among others, by local leaders of the organisation and other concerned.
