Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’t, BD
The 3-day annual convention of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’t, Bangladesh held in the city’s Bakshibazar was concluded on the 5th instant. Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Rashed Khan Menon was present as the chief guest. While speaking Memon said, “The right of peaceful coexistence of people belonging to all faiths is recognised in Bangladesh. The holy religion of Islam teaches us harmony and tolerance, Islam does not support militancy. Therefore, persecution of the Ahmadiyya community in Bangladesh cannot be acceptable.” The concluding session was also addressed by the Member of Parliament and Executive President of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD-Ambia) Mainuddin Khan Badal and the Member of Parliament of Rajshahi-4 Engineer Enamul Haq. They felicitated the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’t members for their worldwide efforts for the propagation of Islam through peaceful means via self-reformation under the singular leadership of the Khalifa. In this session, the national Ameer of Bangladesh, Alhaj Mobasherur Rahman discussed the instructions of the Khalifa for Bangladesh and activities in the Jama’t for its implementation. The Khalifa of this age has urged us to carry out our own duties in these turbulent days for the establishment of peace at every strata of the society, while maintaining compassion for fellow countrymen. In the function Muballigh from Canada Mirza Afzal Khan spoke on the topic of “Islam in the West”. A welcome speech was delivered by Maulana Naveedul Fatah, Muballigh from India. It may be mentioned that around 6 thousand members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’t and invited guests from home and abroad attended the conference.
