JAAGO Foundation
The 4-day National Youth Assembly (NYA) -2017 organised by JAAGO Foundation was concluded in the city on Sunday. The assembly brought together about 200 youth leaders from 8 divisions of Bangladesh to strengthen their skills, helped them serve in their community. The assembly hosted various workshops, interactive sessions between the volunteers and prominent speakers from around the country. The event reflected upon the activities of the previous day and the delegates giving their feedback. They were given a group task of making a project about how they can ensure clean water and sanitation. This programme was powered by The Daily Star, Leadership Content Partner is BYLC and the other partners are U.S Embassy, ICT Division, Microsoft Bangladesh, Coca-Cola Bangladesh Ltd, Beximco Pharmaceuticals, Novoair, Rahim Afrooz, Golden Harvest, Amra Technologies and Webable. The Founder and Chairman of JAAGO Foundation Korvi Rakshand said, “120 delegates from 19 districts came to the National Youth Assembly arranged by Volunteer for Bangladesh, youth wing of JAAGO Foundation to make a dream come true. It is our hope that they would implement their learning from the NYA once they get back to their own community, own districts. The dream of building a better Bangladesh will only be possible when the youth from 64 districts of Bangladesh will get connected.” At the event all the speakers and JAAGO Foundation’s Chairman wished all the delegates’ luck for their future efforts in rebuilding our nation.
