Bangladesh National Awami Party
A discussion marking the homecoming day of leader of the toiling masses Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani organised by Bangladesh National Awami Party-Bangladesh NAP, Dhaka Mahanagar unit was held in Jadu Miah Auditorium in the city’s Nayapalton on Sunday. In the programme the speakers recalled the contributions of Maulana Bhasani. They said that no history can be made without Maulana Bhasani. The speakers also said that impartial election commission would be formed through the dialogue with the President.The function was addressed, among others, by Secretary General of the organisation M Golam Mostofa Bhuiyan, NDP Presidium Member Monjur Hossain Esha, NAP City Member Secretary Shahidunnabi Dablu, its city leader Abdullah-al-Kawsari and Joint Convenor of Jatiya Chhatra Kendra Solaiman Sohel. Convenor of Bangladesh National Awami Party-Bangladesh NAP, Dhaka city unit Syed Shajahan Saju presided over the event. Different organisations including Bangladesh NAP & its city unit, Bhasani Sahitya Sangskritik Parishad, Bangladesh Jubo NAP and Bangladesh Jatiya Chhatra Kendra placed floral wreaths at the temporary portrait of Maulana Bhasani on the occasion.
Mahila Awami League
A meeting organised by Bangladesh Mahila Awami League was held at the Awami League (AL) President’s Dhanmondi office in the city on the 21st instant. In the programme a 25-member preparatory committee and 10 sub-committees of the organisation was formed to make its March 4 conference a success. Mahila Awami League Chairperson Ashrafunnesa Mosharraf was made Convener of the conference preparatory committee while Acting General Secretary Pinu Khan, MP, as Member Secretary. The sub-committees are: Reception sub-committee, stage and decoration sub-committee, constitution sub-committee, publicity and publication sub-committee, office sub-committee, discipline sub-committee, food sub-committee, culture sub-committee, finance sub-committee and health sub-committee.
