Abdur Razzak Memorial Trust Fund
A commemorative meeting on former minister and one of the organisers of the country’s Liberation War and also veteran Awami League leader Abdur Razzak organised by Abdur Razzak Memorial Trust Fund was held at the conference room of Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban of Dhaka University (DU) on Tuesday. In the programme the speakers recalled the contribution of Abdur Razzak during the Liberation War.They also recalled role of Abdur Razzak after the assassination of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The function was addressed, among others, by DU Vice-Chancellor Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique, Professor Emeritus AK Azad Chowdhury, Dean of DU Social Sciences Faculty Prof Farid Uddin Ahmed, Chairperson of Abdur Razzak Foundation also member of donors of Abdur Razzak Memorial Trust Fund Farida Razzak. Chairman of Trustee Board of the Trust Fund also Treasurer of DU Professor Kamal Uddin presided over the programme.
TMSS Foundation
A magazine titled ‘News and Views Around the World’ was formally launched at a ceremony organised by Tengamara Mahila Sabuj Sangha (TMSS) Foundation at its auditorium in Bogra recently. The magazine was launched for the development of journalism through projecting positive news as well as research-based information. In the programme the speakers said that the magazine is an online magazine, which is completely different from other online magazines and online portals. It will be a unique online magazine in Bangladesh.” “Under ICT domain of TMSS, this magazine would introduce new trend of online journalism through projecting development-oriented news and information to bring a positive change in the society,” they added. The speakers said said, “We will not produce any news and views in the TMSS Magazine. It is the uniqueness of the magazine. We will project only positive news and information, which will be very useful in the field of development.” “We will collect positive news and information from across the globe including Bangladesh for projecting this news and information in the magazine,” they added. The function was addressed, among others, by Executive Director of TMSS Prof Dr Hosne Ara Begum and Director of Information & Communication Technology (ICT) of TMSS Nigar Sultana.
