Autistic Foundation of Bangladesh
A stall organised jointly by Autistic Foundation of Bangladesh and Save Life Foundation have been set up at the Annual Ananda Mela-2016 at the Officers’ Club in the city on Friday to provide free medical check up on kidney disease and autism. While speaking Chairman of Autistic Foundation of Bangladesh Dr Kazi Minhajul Abedin said that.they are providing free medical checkup on kidney disease and autism at their stall at the three-day Ananda Mela along with raising awareness among the people on the disease. Minhaj said, “Most of the people are not aware of autism. They have to know about it to deal the people with autistic in an appropriate manner which make their lives relatively normal.” “We would be able to make the people aware on kidney diseases and autism through providing free-medical checkup,” he added. Save Life Foundation is also providing free medical checkup as there are nearly two crore kidney patients in the country. Chairman of the foundation Dr Sohely Ahmed Sweety said, “As part of our awareness campaign, we are advocating people about kidney ailment.”
Bangladesh Muslim League
A discussion on the 12th death anniversary of former President of Bangladesh Muslim League (BML) Md Zamir Ali organised by the BML was held in the auditorium of Bangladesh Photo Journalists’ Association in the city on Saturday. A Doa Mahfil was also held for the salvation of the departed soul. The programme was attended, among others, by President of BML AHM Kamruzzaman Khan and Joint Secretary General of Islami Andolon Maulana ATM Hemayet Uddin. Additional Secretary General of Bangladesh Muslim League Mohammad Qudrat Ullah presided over the programme. Besides, Quran Khatam was held at the grave of the deceased at his village home Alexander of Ramgati in Laxmipur district. A luncheon for the people of all walks of life was also held marking his death anniversary.
