South Asia Regional Public Procurement Network (SAPPN), with Asian Development Bank, The World Bank, and Procurement iNET, has launched South Asia Procurement Innovation Awards 2016-17, says a press release.The key objective of the Awards is to enhance learning and knowledge sharing from innovative approaches adopted by procurement entities and systems across the region. Case stories under any of five categories by December 31, 2016 are invited from government and public sector procurement organizations, entities, universities, research institutions, NGOs/CBOs.The categories of the awards are market interactions and contributions leading to innovative procurement solutions; use of ICT for procurement management and useful management information; performance-focused procurement reforms and capacity development; innovative procurement and contract management solutions for challenging and fragile environments; citizen engagement in procurement management and oversight. Registration via online submission needs to be done by November 30, 2016 at www.procurementinet. org/southasiappinnovationaward .
Eastern University
SSLCOMMERZ, a secure online gateway platform developed by SSL Wireless, will provide online payment gateway service for Eastern University. An online payment gateway service agreement has been signed between Eastern University and SSL Wireless. Connecting with SSLCOMMERZ’s online payment gateway will make collecting all types of payments from students will make easier and secure for Eastern University.According to the agreement, from now on, the students and guardians will be able to pay all academic and other tuition fees online from home or anywhere, anytime using their Debit/Credit Cards, or via Online Banking, Mobile Banking etc. The signing ceremony took place last Sunday, 13 November at Board Room of Eastern University, House-26, Road-5, Dhanmondi, Dhaka. Muhammed Siddique Hossain, Treasurer and Chief Operating Officer Ashish Chakraborty signed the agreement on behalf of Eastern University and SSL Wireless respectively. The signing was witnessed by Abul Basher Khan, Registrar, Abdul Karim Deputy Director Finance and Account. Top level management personnel from both sides including SSL Wireless’s M. Nawat Ashekin, Head of e-Commerce, SSLCOMMERZ and Eastern University’s, Prof. Dr. Abdur Rab Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Hannan Chowdhury Pro-Vice Chancellor, Moniruzzaman Director Finance and Account, Asif Imran Deputy Registrar, Md. Abdullah Al Mamun, Asst. Director (Head of IT), Shah Md. Masud Ikbal Analyst, Dilip Kumar Dhar Asst. Director-IT, Farhad Bhuiyan Asst. Director-IT, Ms Sadika Tanzila Sr. Programmer were present there, says a press release.

Besides, the indoor plants, the Company is also giving their corporate clients various kinds of fruit plants & shade trees to the factories so that the factory surroundings remain environment friendly and also the workers can be benefited by the fruits and pass sometimes beneath the trees & inhale the fresh air, says a press release.
