Dhaka University Success Foundation
A total of 90 students of different department of Dhaka University, who were finally nominated for the 35th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS), were accorded reception at a function organised by Dhaka University Success Foundation (DUSF) in the auditorium of Business Studies faculty of the university. DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique was present at the function as the chief guest. While addressing Arefin thanked the forthcoming BCS cadres under 35th BCS examination and urged them to be patriot bureaucrats for forwarding the country into prosperity. Founder of DUSF Prof Dr Mosharraf Hossain presided over the event. The programme was also addressed, among others, by Dean of the Business Studies Faculty Prof Shibli Rubayat Ul Islam.

A discussion on ‘Success of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in women empowerment and achievement of International recognition’ organised by Krishak Sramik Party (KSP) was held on Tuesday at its office in the city’s Topkhana Road. Former minister andBangladesh National Alliance (BNA) Chairman Barrister Nazmul Huda was present as the chief guest. While speaking Huda called upon BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia to take part in the next national parliamentary election under the present government. He told BNP that the interest of the people would be realized if they participate in the election under the grand alliance government. Congratulating BNP Chairperson and her other party leaders for changing their stand on demanding the caretaker government, Huda said ‘Earlier, you were busy on the question of caretaker government only, but now you have concentrated on neutral government changing the previous stand.’ The function was also addressed, among others, by Editor of Dainik Nabochetona M Shakhawat Hossain. General Secretary of KSP Lion Salam Mahmud presided over the programme.
