Biplabi Chhatra Moitri
A rally organised by Biplabi Chhatra Moitri was held in front of the National Museum in the city’s Shahbagh on Friday. In the rally the speakers demanded unconditional release of the central leader of the organisation and General Secretary of its Rajshahi University unit Dilip Roy. They also demanded withdrawal of false cases filed against him. The programme was addressed, among others, by General Secretary of the United Communist League of Bangladesh, Dhaka Mahanagar unit Nazrul Islam, Energy expert Engineer BD Rahmatullah, Joint Convenor of Biplabi Chhatra Moitri Iqbal Kabir, General Secretary of Gana Sankskritik Front Mafijur Rahman Laltu, Convenor of Jatiya Juba Parishad Aminul Islam Bakul and central leader of Jatiya Gana Front Rajad Huda. President of the organisation, Dhaka Mahanagar unit Sadequl Islam Sohel presided over the event.
Bangladesh Chemist and Druggist Assoc
A human chain organised by Bangladesh Chemist and Druggist Association, Faridpur unit was formed in front of Faridpur Press Club recently against August 15, 1975 tragedy and August 21, 2004 grenade attack demanding punishments of the fugitive killers of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and most of his family members and the killing attempt on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. In the programme the speakers said that few killers of Bangabandhu were hanged but still some killers are hiding in different countries abroad and similarly the masterminds of August 21 grenade attack are hiding abroad. Speakers demanded that the fugitive killers must be brought back to the country and award them punishment as per law.
Speakers also demanded elimination of militancy and communalism from the country. The function was addressed, among others, by the leaders of Chemist and Druggist Association Ramen Lahiri, Sanjib Saha, Arif Ahmed and Enayet Hossain.
