President and General Secretary of the Central Committee of Samajtantrik Chhatra Front Naima Khaled Monika and Snehardi Chakravarty respectively in a statement on Sunday bitterly criticized the terror attack allegedly by the activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League on the agitated students of Jagannath University who are in movement for residential halls. They urged the government to nab the attackers immediately and give exemplary punishment. They also urged the government to meet the demands of the students of Jagannath University and take necessary steps to build the residential halls for the students.
Bangabandhu Sangskritik Goshthi
A discussion and self-composed poetry recitation session organised by Bangabandhu Sangskritik Goshthi marking the National Mourning Day commemorating the 41st martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was held at the Jatiya Press Club recently. In the programme the speakers said that the previous BNP-Jamaat alliance government decorated Bangabandhu along with Ziaur Rahman with the Independence Award posthumously to belittle Bangabandhu. “How Bangabandhu and Zia were placed on the same row?”, the speakers asked. The function was addressed, among others, by Awami League (AL) Presidium Member and Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim, AL International Affairs Secretary Lt Col (Retd) Faruque Khan, Poet and playwright Kazi Rosy, MP, Assistant Secretary to AL sub-committee Advocate Balaram Poddar, Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote General Secretary Arun Sarker Rana and General Secretary of the organisation Parimal Ghosh Ranjit. President of the goshthi Masum Parvez Rubel chaired the event.
