Workers Party of Bangladesh
A rally organised by the Workers Party of Bangladesh was held in front of the Jatiya Press Club in the city on Tuesday in protest against militancy and terrorism. President of the organisation and Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon was present as the chief guest. While speaking Menon categorically denied presence of any IS in Bangladesh and said homegrown militants are mainly responsible for this terror attacks. “Begum Zia is suggesting national unity, but questioning the government’s success against militancy. This clearly reflects her mind, intention and motive behind her political statements,” the minister added. The programme was also addressed, among others, by General Secretary of the Workers Party of Bangladesh Fazle Hossain Badsha, MP, Politburo Member Bimal Biswas and Noor Ahmed Bakul, central committee member Dipankar Saha Dipu and President of Dhaka City Committee Abul Hossain.
