A discussion on ‘Shoto Borshe Bangabandhu-2020’ organised by National Freedom Fighters Foundation was held at the Jatiya Press Club. Post and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar was present as the chief guest in the programme held recently. While speaking Jabbar said that the War of Liberation was the culmination of Bangabandhu’s lifelong struggle to establish a developed country. “Bangabandhu united the countrymen and psyched them to participate in the Liberation War. He was the organizer of the Liberation War in 1971”, Jabbar added. Stressing the need on adopting appropriate action plans and implementing them to mark the birth centenary of Bangabandhu, Jabbar said, “Bangabandhu’s birth centenary in 2020 and the Golden Jubilee of independence in 2021 are considered to be the years of celebrations for the entire nation”.
