BD Progressive Writers’ Association
Dhaka Divisional Literary Conference organised by Bangladesh Progressive Writers’ Association was held on the premises of Chasara Shaheed Minar in Narayanganj on Friday. A large number of writers and poets from different districts of Dhaka division participated in the conference. In the programme the speakers called upon all the writers, poets and litterateurs to be united against the cultural aggression. The function was addressed, among others, by Central Vice-President of the association Shamjumman Hira and its General Secretary Dipankar Goutam. President of the organisation Golam Kibria Pinu inaugurated the event.
Bangladesh Youth Climate Network
A discussion on ‘Present Education System: Future of the Next Generation’ organised by different organisations including Bangladesh Youth Climate Network, Institute of Wellbeing and Work for a Better Bangladesh Trust (WBB Trust) was held at the Koibarta Seminar Room of the WBB Trust in the city’s Rayerbazar. In the programme held recently the speakers of the organisations underscored the need for the formulation of the education system giving priority of the mutual cooperation of the children for the development of the nation and future generation. Director of the WBB Trust Gaus Piaree presided over the event. The function was addressed, among others, by Executive Director of the Institute of wellbeing Debra Iformson and Chief Executive of Anandajatra Foundation Rubaiya Khan. The representatives of Chhayatale Bangladesh, Agrapathik Protibandhi Unnayan Sangstha, Mukti Sangram Protibandhi School, Sher-e-Bangla Ideal School, Dhanmondi Kachi Kantha High School and Jago Foundation participated in the programme.
