Bangladesh Puja Udjapon Parishad
A competition of Sreemadvaghbat Geeta recitation-2019, Dhaka Division organised by Bangladesh Puja Udjapon Parishad was held at Shri Shri Dhakeshwari National Temple on Friday. 153 contestants participated in the competition. Final phase of the competition will be held on December 26 next. The winners will be awarded with gold medal on December 27. Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Riva Ganguli Das will present as the chief guest in the prize distribution ceremony.
National Freedom Fighters Foundation
A discussion on ‘Shoto Borshe Bangabandhu: 2020’ organised by the National Freedom Fighters Foundation was held at the Jatiya Press Club. Post and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar was present as the chief guest in the programme held recently. While speaking Jabbar said that the War of Liberation was the culmination of Bangabandhu’s lifelong struggle to establish a developed country. “Bangabandhu united the countrymen and psyched them to participate in the Liberation War. He is the organizer of the Liberation War in 1971”, Jabbar added. Stressing the need on adopting appropriate action plans and implementing them to mark the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Jabbar said, “Bangabandhu’s birth centenary in 2020 and the Golden Jubilee of independence in 2021 are considered to be the years of celebrations for the entire nation”. The function was also addressed, among others, by AL Liberation War Affairs Secretary Advocate Mrinal Kanti Das, MP and Chairman of the foundation Dr SM Jahangir Alam.
