A discussion jointly organized by Bangladesh Renal Association and Kidney Foundation was held in the auditorium of the Institute of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh in the city on Thursday.Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim was present as the chief guest.While speaking Nasim said the government’s ongoing actions against the false and substandard clinics and diagnostic centres would be continued in future. He asked the private hospital authorities to re-fix minimum fees for the poor patients. Presided over by President of the association Dr Rafiqul Alam, the discussion was also addressed, among others, by State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Zahid Malek, Vice Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Dr Pran Gopal Datta, Kidney Foundation President Dr Harun-or-Rashid and Secretary General of Renal Association Prof. Dr Mohibur Rahman.
Daffodil Int’l University
A total of 20 IT students got the employment opportunity abroad, including in Japan. The names of the students were disclosed recently at the concluding ceremony and award giving programme of Bangladesh IT Talent Contest-2014 at Daffodil International University (DIU) in city. Minister for Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment Engineer Khandker Mosharraf Hossain was present on the occasion as the chief guest while Daffodil Group Chairman Sabur Khan as the special guest. The minister said, “We can earn more foreign currency by developing the country’s IT sector.” Bangla Bussiness Partner (BBP), Japan organized the contest with the help of DIU in which 1,284 students participated.
