Bangabandhu Society
A discussion organised on the occasion of inaugurating a month-long programme on 39th martyrdom anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by Bangabandhu Society was held at its central office in the city’s Kalabagan on Friday. In the discussion the speakers recalled the contribution of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on Bangladesh’s independence. It was addressed, among others, by Prof Dr Akhtaruzzaman of Dhaka University and Deputy Attorney General Advocate Sarder Mosharaf Hossain. General Secretary of the society Dr SA Malek presided over the programme.

Leaders of Amra Muktijoddhar Santan (AMS) paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing floral wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu at 32 No Dhanmondi in the city on the early hours of Friday in observance of the Month of Mourning. President and General Secretary of AMS Humayun Kabir and Syed Ashraful Islam Nayan respectively were present, among others, on the occasion. AMS leaders demanded to bring back fugitive killers of Bangabandhu and execute death sentence.
