The sixth edition of the Joy Bangla Youth Award (JBYA) has invited applications from the youths and youth organizations those are working for welfare of the country and the people as well through social initiatives. The Young Bangla, the youth secretariat of ruling Awami League’s research wing Centre for Research and Information (CRI), urged the aspirant youths and organizations to apply for the ward by August 31 . Applicants have to visit the website jbya.youngbangla.org for completing the registration process. This year, organizations of 18 to 35-year-old youths, who are working on women empowerment, child rights, empowerment of persons with disabilities, empowerment of backward section people, employment and innovation, creativity and entertainment, knowledge and capacity building, empowerment of the ultra poor people, environment and climate change, healthcare, social cultural initiatives, disaster risk reduction and emergency response, can apply for the Joy Bangla Youth Award. Organizations those are involved in these services for at least 18 months can apply for the award, the release said, adding that the age of the organizations applying for the award should be at least two years. Ten of the applicants will be given the award, it said. The Young Bangla also called upon the university-based organizations and clubs, which are playing a role through social services, campaigns and activities, to apply for the award. After receiving the applications, a jury will select the awardees following a strict process. Later, the names of the winners will be announced and the award will be distributed in November 2022.
