Bangladesh Air Force Women’s Welfare Association handed over relief goods for the flood hit people in Sylhet. President of the association Tahmida Hannan inaugurated the distribution of relief items recently at the Tejgaon Old Airport . Tahmida Hannan handed over various food items, medicines and water purification tablets to the Sylhet-bound team of the association. The relief program would continue alongside the Air Force’s relief efforts. Relief activities would be conducted in Gaibandha, Sirajganj and other flood affected areas of the country including Sylhet region. The association would also provide employment with various grants for post-flood rehabilitation. The president of the association expressed firm commitment to stand beside the helpless people affected by the floods. She announced the distribution of corrugated iron sheets by the association to facilitate housing for the homeless and the distribution of cattle by the association with the aim of creating employment.
