Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad
A discussion marking the National Mourning Day organised jointly by Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Diploma Engineers’ Institutional Unit Command and Diploma Engineers Muktijoddha Sontan and Projanma Parishad was held at Muktijoddha Smriti Auditorium of Institution of Diploma Engineers Bhaban in the city. Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque was present as the chief guest in the programme held recently. While speaking Mozammel said that killers could not kill the idealism of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Muhjibur Rahman so he became much stronger than ever before. “The killers of Bangabandhu thought that if they could kill Bangabandhu, everything would end. Although they could kill Bangabandhu, they couldn’t kill his ideology. Bangabandhu is now much stronger through his idealism,” he said. “We need to find out the people who were behind the assassination of Bangabandhu,” Mozammel said. “Our parliament building is one of the best architecture in the world… There can be no installation outside the plan, not only the graves of Ziaur Rahman, many graves are there, they all need to be removed,” he added. The function was also addressed, among others, by former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Dhaka Professor Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique, IDEB President Engineer AKMA Hamid, its General Secretary Engineer M Shamsur Rahman and Member Secretary Idris Ali.
