A discussion commemorating the first death anniversary of former minister and AL leader Mohammed Nasim organised by Sirajganj Journalists’ Association,Dhaka was held at the Jatiya Press Club. AL Presidium Member Advocate Jahangir Kabir Nanak was present as the chief guest in the programme held on Tuesday. While speaking Nanak said Nasim had outstanding organisational skills and leadership quality and in real life, he was a person of welfare-oriented thoughts. “The death of Nasim is an irreparable loss for the country’s politics, he said: “Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has lost a trusted ally at his death and simultaneously we lost a guardian.” Deputy Minister for Water Resources AKM Enamul Hoque Shameem said Mohammed Nasim was a brave soldier of AL like his father Mansur Ali. The function was also addressed, among others, by AL Organizing Secretary SM Kamal Hossain, Mohammad Nasim’s eldest son and Sirajganj-1 MP Engineer Tanvir Shakil Joy, lawmakers Prof Dr Habibe Millat Munna (Sirajganj-2), General Secretary of DUJ Sajjad Alam Khan Tapu and former President of the association Shahnewaz Dulal. Vice-President of the association Taimur Faruk Tushar presided over the event.
