A social organisation-Surokkha Foundation has organised a webinar titled ‘Women’s Social Advertisement’ in the city marking the golden jubilee of the Independence. Chairman of the Sociology Department of Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) Josinta Zinia was present as key speaker in the programme held recently. While speaking Josinta Zinia said not only female but also male must come forward for the advancement and well protection of women. Every member of the society irrespective of male and female will grow mentality for the progress of women. Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Surokkha Foundation Supravo Chowdhury Nipu, its Directors Fakrul Islam Sajib and Reyad Hossain and its Associate Director Faria Raisa were also present on the occasion. Associate Director of the foundation Shatabdi Chowdhury moderated the programme. Associate Directors of the foundation Nishat Awal, Shamme Akter and Usrat Jahan Orpa were also present as the discussants in the event.
E-poster published on historic Mujibnagar Day

An e-poster has been published at the initiative of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s Birth Centenary Celebration National Implementation Committee marking the historic Mujibnagar Day. As part of paying homage to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in ‘Mujib Year’, the e-poster of the historic Mujibnagar Day has been titled with his words “Bangladesh will survive in history as an independent country. There is no force that can keep Bengal down”, a press release said. The national implementation committee has requested all to spread the e-poster widely in electronic, online and social media on behalf of the committee to celebrate the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
