Bangabandhu Academy
A discussion marking the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and golden jubilee of the independence organised by Bangabandhu Academy was held at the Institute of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh in the city. State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr. Murad Hasan was present as the chief guest in the programme held on Tuesday. While speaking Murad said Bangabandhu is the eternal inspiration to freedom of oppressed all over the world. “Bangabandhu taught a nation what self-worth is, taught them how to protest, and inspired them to fight for rights. He is the symbol of freedom of independence,” he told. Murad said that people of the country should not only remember him but also practice his beliefs, philosophy and ideologies to materialize his dreams for the country. “Following the path directed by Bangabandhu, the present government under the leadership of his successful successor Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has made unprecedented progress in the economic and social fields Which is being acclaimed worldwide,” he added. The function was also addressed, among others, by former General Secretary of Dhaka City Awami League (South) Shahe Alam Murad and AL leader Advocate Balaram Poddar.
