A discussion titled ‘The Philosophy of Bangabandhu and Bangladesh’ organised by Dhaka University Neuroscience Research Center was held at the Lecture Gallery of the university’s Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department. Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) of Dhaka University Dr ASM Maksud Kamal was present as the chief guest in the programme held recently. While speaking Maksud urged the youth to work for the welfare of country’s underprivileged and deprived people instilling the ideology of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. “Bangabandhu was the leader of the masses and he successfully realized and understood the demands, emotions and feelings of the mass people”, he said. Bangabandhu worked relentlessly to change the fate of the deprived, exploited , neglected and oppressed people of the country, he said adding that ‘Bangabandhu tried to build a self-dependent Bangladesh by choosing picking the skilled and qualified people.’ Mentioning Bangabandhu’s immense contribution to country’s several sectors including education, economy, health, politics and diplomacy , Maksud said he (Bangabandhu) will be remain alive among the people for ages as the leader of mass people.
