Bangabandhu Academy
A discussion on ‘Current politics’ organized by Bangabandhu Academy was held at the National Press Club in the city. Publicity and Publication Secretary of Awami League Dr Hasan Mahmud was present as the chief guest. While addressing Hasan demanded arrest of the persons who called upon people to make clandestine attacks. Three members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) were suspended following allegation of involvement with the murders of seven persons in Narayanganj. So, the people who publicly talked about making secret attacks should also be arrested, he stressed. Chitta Ranjan Dash, Adviser of the Academy presided over the discussion. The Awami League leader, also a former minister said the people who are out to tarnish the image of the present government by resorting to the politics of abduction and killing will be awarded exemplary punishment. The discussion was addressed, among others, by Awami League (AL) Executive committee member Sujit Ray Nondi, Sub-committee Assistant Secretary Golam Sarwer Kabir and Samyabadi Dal leader Harun Chowduty.
