Muktijuddho Mancha
The leaders and activists of Muktijuddho Mancha staged demonstration at the foot of Anti-Terrorism Raju Memorial Sculpture of Teacher-Student Center (TSC) of Dhaka University campus on Wednesday protesting the murder of Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Anisul Karim Shipon and demanded capital punishment of those involved in the killing. They came up with a four-point demand and gave a 72-hour ultimatum to meet the demands which include shutting down all unauthorized hospitals, diagnostic centers and clinics.The other demands include forming a probe body over the incident and bringing all the high officials of the hospital to book immediately. General Secretary of the organisation Al Mamun conducted the rally. The function was addressed, among others, by former General Secretary of BCL and former General Secretary of DUCSU Golam Rabbani and DU unit President of the organisation Sonet Mahmud.. Later, they marched towards Shahbagh in a procession and blocked the Shahbagh intersection for at least 10 minutes. President of the organisation Aminul Islam Bulbul presided over the event.
