Bangabandhu Sangskritik Parishad
A discussion organised by Bangabandhu Sangskritik Parishad was held in old central jail area in the city marking the Jail Killing Day. Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque, MP was present as the chief guest in the programme held on Tuesday. While speaking Mozammel said four national leaders were worthy colleagues of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as they did not deviate from the ideals of the Liberation War and Bangabandhu. “Four national leaders Syed Nazrul Islam, Tajuddin Ahmed, AHM Quamruzzaman and Captain Mansur Ali were worthy colleagues of Bangabandhu. When Bangabandhu was assassinated along with his family on August 15 in 1975, many allied with Bangabandhu’s killers. Four national leaders gave their lives but did not deviate from the ideals of the Liberation War and Bangabandhu,” he said. Earlier, the minister laid wreath at the portrait of Bangabandhu and four national leaders on jail premises. The function was also addressed, among others, by Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Home Ministry Shamsul Haque Tuku, Lawmaker Jannatul Bakia and DG of DFP SM Golam Kibria.
