Bangladesh Hawkers Union
A rally organised by Bangladesh Hawkers Union was held in the city’s Baitul Mokkarram Link Road. In the programme held on Wednesday the leaders of the organisation demanded rehabilitation of the hawkers before their eviction. They also demanded implementation of the directives of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in this regard. The leaders of the union warned to forge greater movement if their demand is not met immediately.
The function was addressed, among others, by General Secretary of the union Sekendar Hayat, its Vice-President Manjur Moyeen, Office Secreatry Golap Hossain, Finance Secretary Sheikh Shahid and central leader Rafique Hawlader. Vice-President of the organisation Abul Kalam presided over the event.
