A discussion on ‘Homecoming Day of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’ organised by Bangamata Parishad was held at the Jatiya Press Club on Thursday. Awami League Presidium Member Mohammad Nasim was present as the chief guest. While speaking Nasim said the newly elected MPs of Jatiya Oikyafront should swear in and play a positive role in the Parliament. “I would request the Oikyafront elected MPs to swear in without being hot tempered and join the Parliament. They should honour the people’s mandate by playing a positive role in the Parliament although they are few,” he said. The function was also addressed, among others, by Vice-Chancellor of BSMMU Dr Kanak Kanti Barua and President of the parishad Anisur Rahman. Presidium member of the organisation Muzaffar Hossain Paltu presided over the event.
