Sammilita Muktijoddha Sangsad
A conference organised by Sammilita Muktijoddha Sangsad was held at Swadhinata Hall in the city’s Segun Bagicha. Shipping Minister and also Convenor of the organisation Shajahan Khan was present as the chief guest in the programme held recently. While speaking Shajahan said that ‘Bijoy Mancha’ will be built at upazila and district levels across the country on the Victory Day on December 16 to inspire the people with the spirit of Liberation War and make them aware against anti-liberation forces. He said songs, dramas and cultural programmes on the Liberation War will be organized from 3 pm to 8pm every day from December 16 to December 28 at the ‘Bijoy Mancha’ across the country. From the Mancha, the people will be urged not to vote for Jamaat, rajakars, Al Badrs, war criminals and those who killed innocent people hurling petrol bombs and their supporters, he added. The function was attended, among others, by cultural personality Rokeya Prachi, freedom fighters Helal Morshed Khan, Kabir Ahmed Khan and Emdad Hossain Matin.
