Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote
A discussion titled ‘The Great Poet of Development, Champion of Democracy, Beacon of the Country Sheikh Hasina-Election as per the Constitution’ organised by Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote was held at Shilpakala Academy in the city’s Segunbagicha. Publicity and Publication Affairs Secretary of Awami League Dr Hasan Mahmud was present as the chief guest in the programme held recently. While speaking Mahmud said, “Dr Kamal Hossain and others used to deliver pro-progressive speech, but they are now on the driving seat of rotting politics”. Dr Kamal Hossain and B Chowdhury have emerged as protectors of BNP, he said, urging all to be united to resist them. The function was also addressed, among others, by General Secretary of Dhaka South City AL Shahe Alam Murad, Justice Shamsuddin Chowdhury Manik, BFUJ President Molla Jalal and General Secretary of the jote Arun Sarker Rana. Vice-President of the organisation actress Nutan presided over the event.
