Dhaka Sub-Editors’ Council
The ‘Merit Scholarship 2018′ giving ceremony organised by Dhaka Sub-Editors’ Council (DSEC) was held at the Jatiya Press Club on Thursday. Railways Minister Mujibul Haque was present in the programme as the chief guest. While speaking Mujibul said that awarding scholarships to students for recognizing their merit would act to encourage the young learners to become more studious. He expressed optimism that our students will make efforts to build themselves as good human beings and worthy citizens through proper learning and regular studies. The minister said the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina carried out massive development activities in all sectors and that made Bangladesh a role model for development. DSEC members’ children, who excelled in various board examinations were awarded with books, crests and financial grants. President of the council KM Shahidul Haque presided over the event.
