Street Children Activists Network, BD
A nine-member executive committee of the Street Children Activists Network (SCAN), Bangladesh has been formed. The committee was announced through an informal ceremony at a restaurant held recently in the city. President of the newly formed committee is Jahangir Nakir (Assistant Director, Dhaka Ahsania Mission), Vice-President Mohammad Aftabuzzaman (Executive Director of Apon Foundation), General Secretary Moniruzzaman Mukul (Deputy Program Manager of Manusher Jonno Foundation), Joint General Secretary Nil Shadhu ( Executive Head of Ek Ranga Ek Ghuri), Treasurer Shikha Biswas (Director of Family for Children) and other members are Zahid Hossain Sumon from Change the Lives, Sheikh Faridul Islam from Janaseba, Shamim Ahmed from Helping Hands and Sister Manju Koriya from Apon Gaon. It may be mentioned that SCAN, Bangladesh was established in 2014 for the benefit of under privileged and street children.
