An opinion-sharing meeting titled ‘Role of all concerned to stop violence against children’ organised jointly by World Vision Bangladesh and Rangpur District Administration was held in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner in Rangpur. Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission Kazi Reazul Hoque was present as the chief guest in the programme held recently. While speaking Reazul said the next generation will retain all achievements of the present pro-children government. He said the government has been providing cost-free legal aid to the poor and distressed people through the district judges all over the country by appointing lawyers on behalf of them for ensuring justice for them. Earlier, separate presentations were delivered in the meeting on the Children’s Act, 2013, Domestic Worker Protection and Welfare Policy, 2015. The function was also addressed, among others, by Vice-Chancellor of Begum Rokeya University Prof Dr Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah and Director of the organisation Chandan Gomes.
