Biman Sramik League
A discussion meeting organised by Biman Sramik League was held at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) on Wednesday. Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Shahjahan Kamal was present as the chief guest in the programme. While speaking Shahjahan Kamal said the government would not tolerate any harassment of passengers especially expatriate Bangladeshis at the country’s airports. “We are receiving a huge volume of remittance from our expatriates working abroad. It’s not acceptable if they are harassed at the country’s airports,” he added. Noting that there are different kinds of complains regarding luggage handling at HSIA, the minister urged the Biman’s workers to carry out ground handling works with utmost sincerity and honesty for ensuring customers care. The function was also addressed, among others, by Jatiya Sramik League President Alhaj Sukkur Mahmud. Biman Sramik League President Mushikur Rahman presided over the event.
