A discussion organised by Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote was held at the Jatiya Press Club on Monday as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina received an honorary Doctor of Literature (D. While speaking Hasan said BNP is resorting to falsehood for skipping next general election. “They (BNP) are trying to find out exit root from the national election. The party should participate in the next general election for their survival in politics,” he added. Hasan said, “India is a friendly country of Bangladesh. Both two countries are maintaining good bilateral relations for boosting economic development. But BNP cannot tolerate good relation between Bangladesh and India as the party does not want peace and progress in the region.” The programme was also addressed, among others, by General Secretary of Dhaka City South unit of Awami League Shahe Alam Murad, professionals and leaders of the jote.
