Bangladesh Chhatra Juba Oikya Parishad
A rally organised by Bangladesh Chhatra Juba Oikya Parishad was held in front of the Jatiya Press Club on Friday. In the programme the speakers demanded exemplary punishment to those involved in the murder of Rangamati’s Naniarchar Upazila Parishad Chairman Shaktiman Chakma. “The murder of Shaktiman Chakma is nothing but an orchestrated conspiracy to thwart the process to establish peace in Chittagong Hills Tracts,” the speakers added. Condemning the murder, the speakers said the heinous killing has been carried out to foil stability and peace in the hill regions. They urged all to be united against the conspirators and terrorists to continue peace and harmony and the pace of development in the hill tracts. Shaktiman Chakma graduated from Dhaka University’s Law Department was gunned down on Thursday.
