Building Construction Workers Assoc
A national conference organised by Building Construction Workers Association was held at the Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh in the city’s Kakrail. State Minister for Labour and Employment Mujibul Hoque Chunnu was present as the chief guest in the programme held recently. While speaking Chunnu said the safety issue of construction workers will be brought under legal framework. He said Bangladesh recently gotmembership of the World Skill Development Council and that is why the government will arrange training programmes on different sectors for six months or one year under the National Skill Development Council (NSDC).”The trained workers would receive international standard certificates from the NSDC and the workers along with certificates would get salaries equivalent to other countries’ workers,” he added. Urging all workers to pay premium to their cluster insurance regularly, Chunnu said the government is also considering for building a future fund for the workers. President of the association Engineer M Osman Gani presided over the event.
