Jalalabad Students’ Welfare Association
A reception and scholarship giving programme organised by Jalalabad Students’ Welfare Association, an organisation of the students of Sylhet district was held at TSC of Dhaka University. A total of 150 students were awarded scholarships in the function. Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid was present as the chief guest in the programme held on the nineteenth instant. While speaking Nahid said that strict measures are being taken ahead of the upcoming Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations to stop question leakage. “We are planning to take a lot of measures for the HSC examinations. None will be able to know how many sets of examination questions papers have been published,” he added. The function was also addressed, among others, by Shahab Uddin MP, former Director General of Bangladesh Information and Communication Technology Banamali Bhowmik and General Secretary of Bangladesh Chhatra League SM Jakir Hossain. President of the association Yusuf Uddin Khan presided over the event.
