A discussion organised by Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote was held at the Jatiya Press Club on Tuesday marking the fifth death anniversary of former President Zillur Rahman. Food Minister Advocate Quamrul Islam was present as the chief guest. While speaking Quamrul said the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has no belief in democracy and people’s mandate, that is why, they are seeking support from foreigners. Recalling the role of former President and AL leader Zillur Rahman during one-eleven, the minister said he kept the party united during the regime of the then caretaker government. The ruling party AL has no desire to keep BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia away from the election, said the minister.
