Bangabandhu Gabeshana Parishad has extended thanks to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for her dynamic leadership in making Bangladesh eligible for the UN ‘developing country’ status. Central President of the parishad Lion Gani Mia Babul in a statement on Monday said that the leadership of the Prime Minister, her farsightedness, talent, labour and human values are the contributions behind the advancement of the country. Farsighted leadership and wisdom of the Prime Minister in conducting the state affairs made it possible for Bangladesh for achieving the status of a developing country, he added. Gani Mia called upon all to cast vote for Sheikh Hasina and her candidates in the next parliament election to win for the continuation of advancement of the country.
Bangladesh Physiotherapy Association
A seminar titled, ‘Importance of Information Technology in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Treatment’ organised by Bangladesh Physiotherapy Association (BPA) was held in the city. Deputy Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad M Fazley Rabbi Mian was present at the programme held recently as the chief guest. While speaking he laid emphasis on spreading the physiotherapy treatment to grass-root level to lessen the aggravation of rural people. “For providing hassle-free treatment to the patients of grass-root level, physiotherapy treatment should be spread to rural areas so that people do not need to come to the capital to receive this healthcare service,” he said. The government will enact ‘The Bangladesh Therapy and Rehabilitation Regulatory Council Act’ to bring advancement in physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, clinical psychology and other related treatments under a coordinated framework, he added. The programme was addressed, among others, by Chairperson of Neuro Developmental Disability Protection Trust Prof Golam Rabbani, BPA Secretary General Shahadat Hossain and former BPA President Dr Rajib Hasan. BPA President Dr Nasirul Islam Presided over the event.
