Bidrohi Shishu Kishore Theatre
A discussion in observance of World Theatre Day organized jointly by noted theatre organisations including ‘Bhumiz Panchagarh’, ‘Karigor Panchagarh’, ‘Bidrohi Shishu Kishore Theatre’and Panchagarh Shilpakola Academy was held recently at the Central Shaheed Minar premises in Panchagarh. While addressing speakers called upon the theatre authorities and dramatists for creating a social renaissance to accelerate national uplift through writing and staging time-befitting dramas to inspire the people. They asked for strengthening of the cultural movement, producing more drama artists and popularizing drama to establish the non-communal spirit of the War of Liberation in building a peaceful Bangladesh free from fundamentalism, militancy and extremism.
President of theatre organisation ‘Bhumiz Panchagarh’ and dramatist Sarker Haider presided over the discussion. Panchagarh Zila Parishad Administrator Abu Bakar Siddik attended the discussion as the chief guest. Assistant Professor of the Department of Bengali of Panchagarh Government Women’s College Moni Sangkar Das Gupta took part as the main discussant. Later artistes of ‘Bidrohi Shishu Kishore Theatre’ staged a drama titled ‘Chuktir Mukti’.
