Bangladesh Physical Society
An international conference with the theme of ‘Physics for Sustainable Development’ organised by Bangladesh Physical Society was held in the city underpinning the need for carrying out more researches on physics for scientific advancement. DU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated the conference as the chief guest. A total of 350 research articles of the researchers from home and abroad were presented in 22 sessions of the conference which was held recently at the Department of Physics in Mukarram Hossain Khundker Biggan Bhaban of DU. While speaking DU VC said Physics and mathematics are basically the languages of science and hence more researches should be carried out in physics. He urged all to continue research activities and arrange seminars and symposiums on physics. Vice-President of the society Abu Hasan Bhuiyan and Professor Dr. Golam Md Bhuiyan and its General Secretary Professor Dr Ishtiaq M Syed were also present at the programme.
