Manobadhikar Bangladesh
A discussion on ‘Bangladesh for Protecting Human Rights’ organised by Manobadhikar Bangladesh was held in the auditorium of Sound Bangla Kids Garden in the city’s Khilgaon on Tuesday. In the discussion the speakers bitterly criticized repression on children. They urged the government to come forward from this darkness. They also called upon all to build corruption-free society for presenting true ‘Sonar Bangla’ to the new generation. The discussion was addressed, among others, by Adviser of the organisation Abdul Mannan Azad, Secretary General Shanata Farzana, Joint Secretary General Farhadul Islam Kamal and Executive Editor of Natun Alo Maniruzzaman Manir. Chairman of Manobadhikar Bangladesh Momin Mehedi presided over the programme.
Nat’l Garment Workers Fed
A rally organised by National Garment Workers Federation was held in front of Jatiya Press Club in the city on Tuesday. In the rally the speakers demanded payment of arrears to the employees of all garment industries and re-opening of Friends Style Ware Limited. The rally was addressed, among others, by President of Jatiya Garments Sramik Karmochari Federation M Delwar Hossain, General Secretary Safia Parveen, Sramik leader Nurun Nahar, Central leader Arifa Aktar, President of Friends Style Ware Sramik Karmachari Union Ali Hossain and its General Secretary Kalpona Aktar. Vice-President of the organisation Faruk Khan presided over the programme.
